In April 2022, Analyst Ross Young claimed that the PSVR2 would not be entering the wild until 2023. Young wrote on Twitter that VR display shipments were to rise in 2022 despite delays to 2023 at Sony.
PSVR 2 price
While we're still in the dark about how much the PlayStation VR2 will actually cost, we can speculate its price will be around £399/$399- the same as its predecessor at launch. As the PSVR 2 library grows over the next few years, we're likely to see some bundles appearing too, which will bump up the price point.
We can probably expect to see a price reduction on the original PSVR when the the new headset is released, and we're hoping for it to be the same price as the Oculus Quest 2 (£299/$299).

PSVR 2 design
Sony revealed the PlayStation VR2 headset design and a final design image for the PlayStation VR2 Sense controller on 22nd February, 2022.
Senior Vice President of Platform Experience, Hideaki Nishino said the 'circular orb shape represents the 360-degree view that players feel when they enter the virtual reality world'. Nishino said the design was also inspired by the PS5 family of products, including its black and white aesthetic and rounded edges of the DualSense Wireless controller and the Pulse 3D Wireless headset.
While its also not too dissimilar to its predecessor's design, Sony has confirmed a new vent design promises better airflow and avoids having the lens fog up during game sessions.
The PS VR2 also offers improved comfort thanks to a slimmer, lighter design and an adjustable lens so you can optimize your view.
